My husband and I spent 3 incredible & tranquil days at the Cabins- The pods are beautifully rustic - with indescribable views over Hout Bay. We loved the outdoor bath & shower, and the regular visits from the chicken & dogs. A real highlight was our braai experience - where Alana & her wife prepared us some local meat - which was so delicious and something really different- would highly recommend!

This place is a complete gem. We adored our four night stay in The Sentinel overlooking Hout Bay and will definitely book again on future trips to Cape Town. The place itself is relaxing and quiet and importantly feel very safe - electric gates and also at the end of a cul de sac. There are a couple of other pods on the site but everyone resects each other's space so it works really well. Waking up each day to phenomenal views in a beautifully designed home was wonderful. The house is well equipped and welcoming. Alana was on hand to answer any queries we had and was a pleasure to deal with. We have very fond memories of our stay in Hout Bay and I think it's definitely one of our favourite Airbnb's to date (the other was in Joshua Tree).

Our stay in Hout Bay exceeded all expectations. The wonderful host, beautiful cabin, stunning surroundings, friendly chicken, and peaceful ambiance made it an unforgettable experience. This was one of the most breathtaking places I have ever stayed at! Waking up to this view with the glass walls was incredible. Alana was extremely accommodating and very responsive! The kitchen was very well-stocked. A few of my favourite features (besides the view): the mini dishwasher, the long window in the shower for a semi-outdoor shower, a basket with beach towels and picnic supplies, the super large bed, the ceiling fan, tea and coffee, and also a chicken roaming around! 10/10 would recommend Alana and the Fynbos pod.

This was the break I needed. The view from the bed was everything for someone who likes the outdoors but enjoys a comfy bed on a rainy night. I only wish I could have stayed longer. I also appreciated the clear and concise instructions for everything. I prefer to be a good guest and not bug my generous host, and I felt all the instructions and information was made available so I could do this. The Fynbos pod was an absolute dream! Stunning pod, beautifully decorated and has all you need, nevermind the most amazing views all around! The location is so convenient and close to pretty much everything. The host was amazing, seemless check-in, loads of information and recommendations provided. Honestly overall an amazing stay! **WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT**!!! It is a piece of art on the hillside, combining the sheer impossible: nestled into a paradise of fynbos beauty, with views both of mountains and sea, remote as if in the countryside and yet a stone's throw away from central Hout Bay, good restaurants, coffee places etc. Imagine waking up and without getting out of bed admiring the sun rising up from behind the mountain range, witnessing the ocean sparkling the rising sun light, listening to birds singing and connecting with your heart being at piece in this fairytale moment. We felt immediately at home here. Alana is a wonderful host with a sensibility to one's privacy, and at the same time an openness to chat, inspiring us with her positive and clever way of seeing the world.

This is the most beautiful AirBnB I’ve ever stayed in! I wanted something special for my last night after spending 2 months in Cape Town and I found it! There are no words to describe this view. The accommodation isn’t cheap but it’s worth it. I wish I could’ve stayed longer and I’ll definitely be back! The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom is super nice too. Not a lot of restaurants deliver to this place but if you know that, you can plan around it. If you’re still thinking about booking this place I’d say: do it! 😀

This place was magnificent. I came here to do homeoffice because I wanted to escape the loud city. Even waking up at this place with a view that looks like a painting is worth to stay. The tiny house itself has anything you wish for. The lovely details in the apartment itself gives you such a comfort feeling and the whole stay was more than comfortable. Slept like a baby with the sound of nature. It’s maybe a bit far outside but very close to hike to the beach and enjoying some time off. I would recommend it for everyone who wants to spend some romantic time with the Partner, to have some quality time with one friend or just to feel the calmness of „me-time“. All in all one of the best places I’ve stayed so far. Thanks Alana

Axel This place is outstanding! We spend 2 nights in the "Fynbos Pod" and after 9 years of traveling in SA we have to say that this has been one of the top 5 stays ever. The style of the 3 wooden houses including the lovely garden is just very tasty. Modern, basic, close to the nature and not too posh. The view to Hout Bay and the mountains is magical. Its just a 2 minutes walk to get to the top of "Sandy Bay" with the most amazing sundowner spots. If you have a car, if you like dogs and if you are done with backpackers or hotels - THIS is the place to stay. We will come back for sure.
